Statement of Faith

These are the core beliefs which serve as the foundation to this web site.

The Bible

We believe the entire Bible to be the infallible, authoritative, inspired Word of God (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

The Trinity

We believe there is one eternal God (Deuteronomy 6:4) who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).

God

We believe God is love (1 John 4:8), eternal (1 Timothy 1:17), sovereign (Psalms 93:1), omniscient (Psalms 139:1-3), omnipresent (Psalms 139:7-13), omnipotent (Revelation 19:6), unchanging (Malachi 3:6), holy (Isaiah 6:3), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), righteous (Psalm 7:9), gracious (Ephesians 2:8), merciful (1 Peter 1:3), good (Romans 8:28), and Creator of all things (Isaiah 42:5).

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God (John 10:30) and fully man (John 1:14), was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23), led a sinless life (Hebrews 7:25-27), died for our sins on the cross (1 John 2:2), bodily rose from the dead (Matthew 28:6), ascended back to Heaven (Acts 1:9-10) to right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate (Romans 8:34), and will return soon (Zechariah 14:4-11).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God (Acts 5:3-4), convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11), regenerates sinners (Titus 3:5), and indwells believers (Romans 8:9), seals believers unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14), illuminates believers' hearts and minds as they study the Word of God (1 Corinthians 2:9-12), and distributes spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).

Salvation

We believe that all people are born separated from God (Romans 5:12), and responsible for their own sin. We believe that forgiveness and salvation is a free gift of God's grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (Ephesians 2:8-9). Christ died for us (Romans 5:8-9) and bore our sins in His own body (1 Peter 2:24 ). When a person repents of their sins (Luke 13:5), believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, and trusts Him to save (Romans 10:9-10), that person is immediately born again (John 3:3) and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14), all that person's sins are forgiven, and they become a child of God (John 1:12), destined to spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven (John 10:27-30).

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of all people (John 5:28-29), the saved will live in the joy of Heaven eternally (1 Corinthians 2:9), and the lost will live in the torment of Hell eternally (Revelation 20:11-15).

Life Dedication

We believe in dedicating our lives to serving God (Colossians 2:9-10), telling the world about the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20) by the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:17), in living a holy life (1 Thessalonians 4:1-2), and having concern for the hurts and needs of other people (Colossians 3:12-14).
